github signs their webhook payloads with sha256 hmac. In probot we have to check if the payload is correctly signed. When I run autocannon I get about 77k req/s. Why?!
Quote of the day in a company chat:
"they trust us to develop and deploy an application used by millions of people and exposed to the internet but they don't trust us to run our computers :D"
:D :D :D
Bought a book about rust programming in german language. They even translated the variable names in the code examples. I can not read it. It stinks....
So annoying. People report punycode deprecation warnings in repos, where the responsible package is some dependency. Mate, just open an issue in the issue tracker of that dependency.
We worked the last weeks hard on probot v13. I will now be able to upgrade the bots of my employer. Anyhow... Looking forward to improve the performance of @nodejs in the next weeks again :).
Probot v13 is around the corner! Please test your apps:
npm install probot@beta

It has been very weird having calls about possible job opportunities. I have literally been told some of the most wild things.
That I do not understand cqrs/event sourcing was definitely the most funny :-D "could you look up for me quickly who named 'cqrs'"?
Worked over the last few months with @AaronDewes, @gr2m, and @wolfy1339 on @ProbotTheRobot to release a new probot v13.
Despite modernizing we also improved the performance significantly (11x faster).
Teamwork makes the dream work.
Whoa. Its 4 a.m.. I am soo sleepy. But it was very productive today by providing multiple PRs to probot.
We are working hard on v13 of probot.

New things are brewing for the Mocha project ☕
We're excited to have some new faces on the project to get it back into active maintenance, update the project's tooling and more! Big thank you to @cthulhu_oidc_js @voxpelli@JoshuaKGoldberg 🖤

The bad thing about being owner of an org with 5k repos is that you see everything bad...
E.g. a PR ignoring linting and build errors of a @nextjs project.
LOL
