Ringo and Node share the same roots, but please do not compare them 1:1. Ringo integrates into the Java ecosystem, Node has it’s own.
Because Ringo is parallel SSJS this is interesting for us: „The Path to Parallel JavaScript“ – blog.mozilla.org/javascript/… by @littlecalculist

This makes reviewing pull requests easier and quicker. We use OpenJDK 7 and Ubuntu 14.04 LTS – Trusty to build and test Ringo on Codeship.
Together with @github's Commit Status API @codeship shows you the status for a pull request next to the merge button. http://t.co/FImeKvYB5e
#2 makes addToClasspath() in your package’s main module obsolete and adds useful information to the package descriptor.
#2: if a package.json descriptor has an array property “jars”, Ringo adds these JARs to the class path on package load.
1
#1: an existing “packages” folder in the user’s current working directory is the default module search path, if no “-m” option is provided.

Two pull requests are now in master. They improve the day-to-day workflow for our users.

Apache Ivy’s latest release 2.4 is now required to build Ringo’s master.
Congratulations to Node for releasing 0.12. Maybe something blocked the release loop in 2014? Tip: spawning a thread is better than a fork 😉
