I'd build a lot more OSS if there was a way for it to support my family.
I've spoken to a bunch of people in this space who have kind of a hybrid approach where they have fair, transparent pricing, a self-hostable option which is either OSS or using something like fsl.software/ to avoid competition, then offer commercial support on top.
Feels good, but time will tell if that's actually viable long term. My biggest concern is if it's too easy to self host, why would anyone pay? Most OSS stuff gets barely any sponsorship compared to the economic value it brings - but then again, maybe that's the point.

We’ve just released 0.1.0-alpha.0!
This is a preview release introducing a significant change in how RedwoodSDK handles React Server Components (RSC) and Server-Side Rendering (SSR) inside a Cloudflare Worker.
⚠️ Heads up This is backward compatible, but it’s a major architectural shift under the hood. Expect some rough edges as we stabilise things.
