We’ve just released 0.1.0-alpha.0! This is a preview release introducing a significant change in how RedwoodSDK handles React Server Components (RSC) and Server-Side Rendering (SSR) inside a Cloudflare Worker. ⚠️ Heads up This is backward compatible, but it’s a major architectural shift under the hood. Expect some rough edges as we stabilise things.

Things I didn't know about @RedwoodJS two days ago: - They've figured out RSCs - It comes with a powerful API framework and no-magic, code-based router - They make realtime easier (vanilla DOs are awesome but NOT easy) - I don't HAVE to use Prisma (huge)

v2 of SolStatus is coming... featuring - a true monorepo (w/ @bunjavascript) - IaC via Alchemy (@samgoodwin89) - Migration from NextJS to RedwoodSDK (@RedwoodJS / @appfactory)

Convinced that all problems can be solved with a @cloudflare worker.

Not having to create endpoints for your app to use, but simply leveraging server functions is incredible! Thanks react19, thanks redwoodSDK! (Claude Code was suggesting to create endpoints, and I told him to read the rwsdk-react.mdc and think of a better way... hello server function!)

In 2021, I took @tatianawebb and her family on a photo safari to Rwanda and Kenya. We happened to go to the Segera preserve for part of it. There we met Paul Nderitu a former anti-rhino poaching ranger turned guide. Paul came to Segera to qualify it as a rhino sanctuary. Segera is very thoughtful in conservation and ecology and one of the challenges they were having was to become qualified as a rhino sanctuary the Kenyan government required monitoring overflights at least three times a day to look for poachers. That was both expensive and wasteful. I asked: why can’t you use drones? Turns out they’d looked into it but couldn’t find any that were fit for the mission. I reached out to a colleague from @TealDrones, a military drone company based in Utah to see if they had any ideas. They thought with a bit of investment they could repurpose their drones to monitor rhino sanctuaries. Tatiana and I financed the development. The drones became the first ever certified for wildlife conservation in Africa. Segera met the government requirements. And it was incredible to be there in person this week as the first 8 of what will be 21 rhinos were released into the new preserve. youtube.com/watch?v=oTBmJV2n…
