Code freeze vs feature freeze. Do you do both at the same time or different times? How far out from release day do you do freezes? Any other tips? My team does one code freeze atm but this morning we were talking about freezing features early so looking for any advice! 🙏

This was fun to write! I have a tendency to ramble at anyone who will listen about the benefits of having QA experience as a dev, so it was nice to sit down and write it up finally 😂
Tiny team lead and senior engineer, Millie Macdonald (@metricjs), talks about how she started out in QA, and 4 essential developer skills she learned while testing that have been instrumental in her career development as a developer. buff.ly/2D5ktRA #developer #job #qa

Great timing for this post... new project kicking off, and spent about 20 minutes integrating and customising @joinTiny in to the Vue infrastructure - so easy to use, and a bonus reason why I keep choosing Tiny.

I mentioned in my talk last week that @joinTiny are doing cool things with #ReasonML and Real Time Collab - well, the next blog post is out!
Real-time #collaboration in a #WYSIWYG rich text editing environment is a hard problem. Do we build a new one? Or do we join forces with someone else? In the second article in this series, Tiny’s @_spyder shares the how and why of our decision … 🥁 tiny.cloud/blog/real-time-co…

Post 2 is live, with a small nod to @reasonml, I’m still working on the third post with more detail about that 😁

The opening keynote of #DevWeek2020 is two women (Edith Harbaugh and T.C. Currie) talking about testing in production. This is *great*!!

You know a talk is going to be great when the demo starts with using an EEG to read @FlippedCoding's brainwaves. How to hook up a web app to brainwaves with JS and ML is not something I thought I'd learn, but here we are!

2 talks in and #DevWeek2020 has already been rather useful and insightful! I'm keen to see what else I can learn this week. 😄 It's unfortunate that only some of the talks are being recorded though. 😦

Y'know that last slide for talks, where you might link some sites/resources and mention your Twitter/Github/etc. handles? Anyone got any tips? I can't find a way to do it that looks right and it's the last slide I have to finalise 😭

I should probably mention - I'll be speaking at #DevWeek2020 next week! I'll be talking about @joinTiny's Typescript conversion again, though with some updated info about what we've done in the last year. And yes, ReasonML will get a few mentions 😉 sched.co/YGds

Yet another cool thing I couldn't talk about for ages. 😭 Tiny is working on real time collab!! I'm not working on it personally but I've been trying to follow along a bit. The things the RTC team are having to figure out are insane but also incredibly awesome!
OT vs CRDT. What do the terms operational transformation and conflict-free replicated data type really mean? And which one should you use in your real-time collaboration solution? 🤔 Our principal engineer, @_spyder, shares his perspective here: bit.ly/36QZVGd

You know how hard it is to not talk about something this big for so long? 😖 Developing the new mobile experience was difficult and long but it is so very cool to see the final result!

Accessibility question: is there any reason to enable keyboard navigation of menus on the mobile version of an app? Except for hybrid devices. I'm wondering if there's accessibility tools that make use of this even on mobile somehow...

My first blog post for @joinTiny! This seemed like something we should be communicating, both internally and externally, so I figured why not write a blog post. Hopefully both this and the changes we're making will make things easier for our customers.
