I get asked more often why I don't tag @inertiajs 1.0, considering that it's totally production safe. It's a good question. Here's why:
I still consider Inertia to be in the exploratory phase. We're still experimenting with ideas and making new discoveries each week.

✅ The paginator just got another handy update in Laravel 8. There is now a new through() method, which allows you to perform a map on the data prior to the paginator being JSON encoded.
This is an important update for @inertiajs apps! 💚

We just added an Inertia::location($url) method to the @inertiajs Laravel adapter for performing client-side visits (via location.href) that are initiated server-side. 💫
You don't need this often, but when you do, it's super handy! 💪

I just finished a complete rewrite of the "Manual visits" documentation. 🥳
It's now much clearer which options are available when making manual visits. And I've added the new event callbacks that were added as part of the new event system. 💪

✅ So @ClaudioDekker found a way to make auto registration of the Inertia middleware work all the back to Laravel 5.4. 🙌
Meaning, this is pretty much a non-issue now, unless you're on a super old version of Laravel. 👌

ℹ️ While fixing a middleware registration issue in the @inertiajs Laravel adapter, we inadvertently introduced a breaking change for those of you on Laravel prior to v6.9.0.
🚨 If that's you, you'll need to manually register the Inertia middleware now.

I've always struggled to handle 419 "page expiration" errors (caused by CSRF mismatches) gracefully from a user experience perspective. 😫

The new event system allowed us to remove the hardcoded NProgress integration from Inertia core. You can now easily add your own loading indicators! ✨
