I’m not naïve enough to think creating a community resource for immigrant rights & #ICE notifications won’t come without consequences. Every morning I stretch my hamstrings in case I’m thrown in some Gulag for trying.

He asked if I was getting any pushback. I told him, “Yeah, it’s starting to pick up.
Without hesitation, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a card. “If anyone does, you give me a call.”

At the entire conference, he was the only person who took it upon himself to offer a direct way to help.
