About a year of @dima_hiroshima’s time went into our new Android app. Congrats on shipping! 🥳
We're excited to announce a brand new Android experience —a whole new app built from scratch! 🙌 Before you download the new app(link in bio), please check out our help page: help.1se.co/en/articles/3386… Thank you for your patience and we can't wait to hear what you think! 💙💚

Pretty much a necessity if you use CocoaPods.
I didn’t realize that Xcode had custom search scopes. 🤯 (Now that I do, I’ll use this constantly!)
It often takes me a few tries to open the camera now with haptic touch (fancy long press). I know it had some UX problems and wasn’t discoverable but I miss 3D Touch, even though the name is silly.
I like how Apple remove 3D Touch when iOS 13 finally makes it good feature.
Chris makes a few cool iOS apps. Definitely worth a look.

Love to see these improvements! Any chance that the Selkirk trestle is up soon too @crd_bc? It’s a fairly bumpy ride compared to the ones in Saanich on the Lochside Trail.
Thank you @crd_bc Parks team for your quick work replacing the surface of the Swan Lake Trestle In #Saanich. MUCH smoother and reopened a week faster than expected! #yyjpoli win!

Mac Catalyst can be simultaneously 1 - A source of a bunch of interesting new Mac apps 2- Limited and frustrating for developers 3- In a strange limbo state where it's unclear how much more work Apple will put into developing it

So, using @viticci’s iOS Settings URLs (prefs:root) *will* get your app rejected. Figures.

Then copy that directory to /Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Profiles/Runtimes I renamed mine to "iOS 12.4.simruntime" since that's what it contains. It's 4.72 GB so be patient.

I've got a working iOS 12 Simulator now, thanks to Chris' tip. First step is to find iOS.simruntime in the /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/Developer/Library/CoreSimulator/Profiles/Runtimes/ of Xcode 10.4. (This is why you keep old ones around, FYI.)

I got it working but had to manually copy the iOS 12.4 simulator runtime out of the Xcode 10 app bundle.

Android folks: what are your favourite blogs out there to keep up with Android dev in general, and also specifically Kotlin?

It's a lovely morning in the village and you are a horrible goose. Untitled Goose Game is out today. goose.game

We're hiring at @1SecondEveryday right now and this is fairly accurate. Next sprint is all about putting a bow on the possum.

I’ve worked with Jim a few times starting with projects together at university. He’s a really strong developer and has taught me a whole lot. He knows iOS inside out and is really passionate about UI and UX.

Why on earth would I care about signing up for @medium to read something? If you care enough to write something you should care enough to post it somewhere where readers can read it without being nagged. This doesn't benefit the reader or writer, only Medium.
