I love open source! It's lovely to go into a tool/project and fix an issue that you're facing 😍 My latest example: github.com/vitest-dev/vitest…

This is the truth.
Rewriting JavaScript tooling in Rust makes sense if your main concern is speed and you don’t want or need many contributions from outside your team. Most JavaScript devs don’t know Rust, so your users are far less likely to contribute code.

TypeScript 5.3 🎉 🔶 JS: Import Attributes 🔷 Modules: "resolution-mode" for type-only imports 🔷 Checking: Narrowing of boolean comparison, switch(true), instanceof-via-hasInstance 🔷 Checking: Strict `super` access 🔷 Perf: Faster *.ts parsing 🔷 npm: 20% smaller package
Today we released TypeScript 5.3! Now bringing: - new narrowing improvements - more correctness checks - import attributes - handy new editor features - lots of optimizations and lots more! So try it today! devblogs.microsoft.com/types…

Nope, we're not going to recreate StrykerJS in Rust. Don't like it? Then throw us out of the window! 🤷‍♂️
Love the approach

Whoops. Seems like I'm late for a meeting 😅. Rude of me to keep people waiting for 818 weeks. Thanks @Outlook 🎉

A truly inspiring talk. Main takeaways: 🤓 "dumb" type declaration emit will be quite smart in the end. 🌐 this might result in more tools that can emit type declarations Very cool work! Can't wait to use this feature
Type-checking TypeScript can go significantly faster 🔥 @TitianCernicova's first ever talk on parallel type-checking from @ts_congress is now public 🎉 portal.gitnation.org/content…

I'm speaking today about "mutation testing" and @stryker_mutator at @devreach today! This is the first talk on mutation testing I've ever given and I'm *pumped* to show it off. It's a fascinating idea with lots of potential. 🙌 Slides here! 1drv.ms/p/s!AvUc1cvPrJnWvuNc…

Had a great time joining the @reactlivenl diner. So nice to let me in. Great food and awesome people ❤️
Selfies! @reactlivenl 📸 My strategy: whenever someone tried to take a selfie with a more known dev, I took my own 😄 Thanks again @josgerards88 & co. 🥰 I'm having a great time & chatting with lots of great folks! (also hehe at the TS documentary screening)

Interesting @angular update coming up: The @if control flow syntax > [...] brings the functionality of NgIf, NgFor, and NgSwitch into the framework itself I'm still old enough to remember how proud the Angular team was that NgIf and family weren't part of the language with the move from AngularJS -> Angular 2. Does anyone else feel old? blog.angular.io/meet-angular…

TypeScript becoming a success was a long shot, but work with incredible colleagues like Steve Lucco, @ahejlsberg, @lukehoban, @drosenwasser, @SeaRyanC, and @ErichGamma your chances improve. Thank you @kbdocumentaries for capturing a pivotal moment in Microsoft history.
And action! 🎬📽️ We're thrilled about TypeScript Origins, the TypeScript documentary from @kbdocumentaries! Check it out!
