45.17x faster than webpack and 25.3x faster than plain @vite_js 🤯
The power of @rolldown_rs.
It's a private repository for work or I'd share our config as well, but our numbers are wild:
Before: 88.54s
After (no native): 6.83s
After (with native): 1.96s
~45.17x faster, and no issues so far!
Additionally - we had a dependency PDF worker file that was 1.47mb that we used to just copy statically due to size and struggling to compress, but now with rolldown it's 214.39kb gzipped. Not sure what changed there but we were never able to get it anywhere close to that before.
Absolutely wild, beautiful work guys!

Also… @vite_js rolldown is absolutely crazy, switching our legacy app builds over right now from webpack and so far they’re around ~30x faster - even with regular vite it’s still around ~8x faster

Did you notice that since Vite 7.1, Vite doesn't spam the console and the network tab with WebSocket errors after the dev server is stopped anymore? 🙂
