Boy from Okhmatdet children's hospital injured in Russian missile attack

Oleksandr Lysytsia, head of the bone marrow transplantation division at Okhmatdyt children's hospital, said that the new building of the children's hospital is almost 80% out of service. According to him, all utility lines have been destroyed, there is no light and water. The missile completely destroyed the toxicology building and damaged 4 more. 10 surgery units, 5 oncology units, 2 somatic units, an intensive care unit, 2 critical care units, operating suites, radiology and radiotherapy unit, and part of the only oncohematology laboratory in the country were damaged.

I didn’t cry when Bucha was liberated, but I cried when I first visited the oncology department at Ohmatdyt. I was shooting some footage and went with the hospital clown, to visit children with cancer. Today, Russia shelled this hospital, this department, and these children.

A doctor who was performing surgery during the explosion was thrown by the blast wave. Fortunately, he and his patients are alive. Some doctors are not answering their phones. Two children were reported dead in the hospital. There are still people under the debris. Meanwhile, explosions are head in Kyiv once more as Russia attacks again.
