Today I SSH'ed into a home server for the first time. I've done this with EC2 in the past, but never, just some computer at home. It's a lot easier than I thought it would be:
1: Put ubuntu server on an old computer with 4GiB of ram
2. sudo apt-get install ssh-server
3. log on.

Is it impossible to get a JAWS (screen reader) license if you're not in America or Europe? I followed the steps, reached out to the distributor, but haven't heard back in a long time. The site is practically useless in this regard.

The majority of jobs do not hire you to write the highest quality code or produce the cleanest architecture.
They hire you to solve their business problems very efficiently. Sometimes this means high-quality code. Sometimes not at all.

I am hearing reports of certain companies announcing return to the office with mandatory 5 days, and a large number of engineers quitting on the spot.
Also hearing this was no accident. An easy way to get unforced - but desirable - attrition at struggling companies.
