Tamagui release coming soon with:
1. Optimizing compiler flattens to native view
2. Optimizing compiler on native will "half-flatten" when using theme values💥
3. Runtime will render to these native views safely and with right accessibility props
After suggestions from @natebirdman and others, I looked at React Native render times using Native Views & Text elements without the JS wrappers, trying both the old & new arch.
We're seeing on average 15% better render times. 🏎️

1.74 adds a new setting, fastSchemeChange. When on, iOS now does the same smart re-render avoidance on light/dark change that the web does.
Huge perf win! Once stabilized we will turn it on by default.

We’ve stripped studio down for this release to just be the guided theme builder. It’s super powerful and shows off the amazing power of themes.
We’ll be releasing the rest of studio in parts over the coming months: hosted design system and components, granular theme editor, dev time integrations, figma sync, automated storybook, and AI generator are all in various states of progress.
