We just create problems and then solve them. Started with a firewall in the cloud. Problem was: slowed people down. So had to solve that. Every product since had been us solving a problem we created ourselves and needed to solve.
DNS providers wouldn’t sell us service at an affordable rate, build our own DNS.
Registrars weren’t secure (and we were almost hacked) build our own registrar.
VPNs and first generation Zero Trust solutions (e.g., zScaler) weren’t fast or secure so we built our own.
Typical development platforms weren’t adequately sandboxed or fast enough for our pace of innovation, we built Cloudflare Workers.
That’s the pattern, over and over.
