We now have way better event handler APIs in the browser! No more removeEventListener 😍🤯🔥 github.com/WICG/observable
Y’all there are observables in your browser right now. if you are in a chromium based browser, that is up-to-date, open your console and type the word “Observable”

ngl. pretty stoked to see where this is going! feels like the perfect pivot!
Every Route Is Just a Function Return JSX, stream a response, or upgrade to websockets. There's no special syntax or compiler magic. A route is a standard function that takes a Request and returns a Response( or even a <Page />)

here's an exciting AI prediction: AI is going to enable bring back smaller (single pizza size?) teams! small teams are mighty and can move really fast. but eventually run into a limit of needs more hands on keyboard to produce more however, adding people also inadvertently adds more coordination overhead which eventually slows teams down (the jump from 5 to 6 people brings less productivity than 2 to 3 because now you need to also communicate about what everyone is working on, make sure not stepping on toes, etc) this is where AI is super powerful, allowing fewer people to drive more results, without slowing down overall per-person productivity

I've been working on something for the devs who live on the edge (see what I did there?) 🔥 I'll drop the first content piece tomorrow, but if you want to sign up early, the link is below. It's totally free, and there will be no subscription or locked content.

RedwoodJS is a React Framework for Cloudfare. It begins as a Vite plugin that unlocks SSR, React Server Components, Server Functions, and realtime features. Its standards-based router, with support for middleware and interruptors, gives you fine-grained control over every request and response.

We're also itching to jump into the new Cloudflare items, but we've got a framework to build!
alright, now that developer week is over, I can build some things! my list: - full-stack demo w/ Workers + React + Vite + Hyperdrive + PlanetScale - keep hacking on my code review agent (Agents SDK + Workflows) - test out a live search idea w/ AutoRAG - watch Andor season 2 😎

If you're going to build an open-source framework that is locked in to a vendor by design, this is the way to do it. Call a spade a spade and let people decide what are the tradeoffs they're okay with.

It's locked in to Cloudflare, or at least the technology that Cloudflare has built. We think of Cloudflare more like AWS than Vercel.

Been playing with @RedwoodJS SDK today and... I'm a fan. The `defineApp` api is incredibly smart. Great way to actually flow middleware types through to handlers.

💡 In v6.6.0, we launched a new generator called `prisma-client` in Early Access: 🌟 Requires an `output` path (no more “magic” generation into `node_modules`) ✅ Supports ESM & CommonJS via `moduleFormat` 👾 Outputs plain TS that's bundled just like the rest of your code

Couldn’t be more excited about how close we are to shipping containers 🚚 (Good things take time, and we have bigger aspirations here than just the bare minimum!)
Containers + Workers coming soon on @Cloudflare : blog.cloudflare.com/cloudfla… Lots reasons why I am excited about where this is going:
