Keep in mind that it may be a bit too early to try it if you’re an application developer. The Alpha is primarily targeted at library developers. The React 18 Working Group will work with the ecosystem so that by the time the release is Stable, most libraries are compatible.

Updated my final year college project to react@alpha and it was working seamlessly, just changing to the new root, it's performance and rendering just feels much better, out-of-the-freaking-box. College will finish and react here I come!
Our next major release is React 18. It will include out-of-the-box improvements like automatic batching, new APIs like startTransition, and a new streaming server renderer with built-in support for React.lazy.

New feature coming to React DevTools soon! It lets you simulate an error anywhere in your component tree and check how your UI handles errors. If it doesn’t handle them gracefully, you can add an Error Boundary to fix it!
