In September of the same year, io.js and Node.js merged and moved to an open governance model under the Node.js Foundation (which has since merged with another foundation, creating the @openjsf).
So, while not *precisely* Node.js, the io.js v1.0.0 was an extremely important milestone in the evolution of Node.js.
