Nativewind CI is back up and running, I can now publish versions of Nativewind and react-native-css! I released a new version, v4.2.2, which ensures our comprehensive suite of tests passes. This is our baseline of stability. Nativewind skills coming soon! On to v5 stability...

State of Nativewind @mark__lawlor has been seriously ill since the holidays. Full recovery may take months. I’m stepping back in after the holidays + a move. My focus areas: 1️⃣ Stabilize v5 2️⃣ Grow community contributions 3️⃣ Improve LLM friendliness I don’t have npm publishing access yet so only nightly releases for now. Flight delayed. In the meantime, I'm working on a way to let you: 1⃣ Open a @nativewindcss v4 project in @cursor_ai 2⃣ Copy/paste the migration guide in markdown 3⃣ Have Cursor migrate your project to Nativewind v5 Might need some kind of fallback, will share here as I figure it out.

A lot has happened since June 1⃣ Documentation really needs to step up to make people properly love Nativewind, especially with v4 -> v5 2⃣ Installation guides support LLMs and migration will too, still a lot that can be done 3⃣ v5 is out, stable release hopefully by Christmas 4⃣ Just short with 450k downloads/week

Hey y'all, I'm visiting family so won't be able to do the State of Nativewind today. High level updates are: 🎉 400K weekly downloads! 🛣️ New product roadmap waiting to be published 🤖 LLM friendly installation instructions (migration guide next) 🛠️ I'm migrating @NativewindUI to support Nativewind v5 which will have me address many of the core issues users are facing in migrating from v4 to v5 Mark should be back from vacation later this week so we'll be back on our regular schedule starting next week. Thanks to everyone who has been providing feedback and PRs over the past week, it really means a lot ❤️

You can now copy the installation instructions for v5 of @nativewindcss into your favorite LLM or something like Cursor. I've also added short-links for setting up a project via rn-new. Next up: Publish the Nativewind roadmap (waiting on Mark).

Mark is unavailable today and next week so we'll be skipping the State of Nativewind in lieu of text-based updates and sporadic twitter spaces. Details coming soon.
