Today is a big day.
We have launched Medusa 2.0, the largest upgrade to @medusajs to date.
What started as a custom platform built for a single company has since become the most popular ecommerce project on GitHub, gotten more than a million npm downloads, and been trusted by enterprises worldwide.
It’s been an incredible journey, and our first PH launch back in start 2022 feels like ages ago. What we are introducing today has been in the works for nearly 12 months.
The new platform takes a fundamentally different approach to building commerce applications. We’ve modularized our entire platform from one headless system to 17 separate commerce modules, all supported by a framework that enables you to build custom data models, business logic, Admin extensions, workflows, and more.
Our goal is to combine the best developer tools with the core commerce functionality offered by platforms like Shopify and other closed solutions. The result is a platform that excels when custom logic is needed.
