The world's most flexible commerce platform

✅ B2B commerce request quote flow Built all the independent blocks & great to see it work seamlessly end to end once they were connected. In this video you'll see: - Add items to cart (thanks to @VariableVic) - Request quote for cart - Quote lifecycle between merchant & customer - Messages between merchant & customer - Picking a cart item to negotiate - Merchant updates price of item - Converting a quote to an order Everything you see here was built in 2 weeks & is easily customisable to your business needs. We re-used most of the commerce blocks provided by @medusajs and used this as an opportunity to dog-food the platform ourselves. We've already fixed a lot of friction points and identified more improvements to make to make the developer experience as smooth as possible. 📈 Massive kudos to @PerettiAdrien, @carlosrodrigolr & @AmanVirk1 for jumping on issues I've bombarded them with! 💪

Appending quote item to a message 📃 I'm playing around with the idea of adding this to @medusajs's B2B starter. If the customer would like to let the merchant know something about a particular quote item, you can attach it to the message. wdyt?

Companies often want to avoid touching migration projects. We jumped at the opportunity to migrate DSHOP to @medusajs. The key takeaways are having great communication between all parties involved and clear deliverables. typed.co.nz/news/post/migrat…

We've had some recent B2B Distributor Platforms built with @medusajs: > Brand A operates the commerce platform > Distributors sell Brand A inventory and products on it > Retailers buy from it It requires strong multi-vendor and B2B primitives. Both are supported well by Medusa.

🚀 Customer's Quote View 👀 Didn't get a lot of time to finish the customer's manage quote flow for the B2B starter, but got something quick & dirty to showcase. I think this will be a good base to generate a PDF. Should I bake this in? 🍞

✅ Add custom prices to a product in a quote A quote can be fairly large, I added some minor tags and visual elements to the editing process to showcase which items have been changed/added & what the result (price) of it would be. Coming up next: - Admin sends quote to customer - Customer reviews quote This is part of @medusajs's upcoming B2B commerce starter. Pitch in if you've got some ideas! 🤞

Incremental development is a beautiful feeling. 😍 "Request for quote" is a meaty & daunting feature. There are many moving parts involved here & different for each B2B company. But when you're building a starter, you want to build the least common denominator and make it easy for people forking it to customize them easily to their business needs. We use many of the building blocks @medusajs provides. Within days, we've made significant progress. Each day brings a huge leap forward that wouldn't have been possible otherwise. Building on Medusa v2 is very different from v1. It changes how you think about building products, not just customising them. I can confidently say that its been a very positive experience & interestingly - feels clean/right ✨ @VariableVic & I have been publicly documenting this progress and its turned out to be a lot of fun!
