Bloom is capable of building full-stack features with Medusa’s commerce modules and framework for customization, including new data models, API endpoints, subscribers, admin extensions and a beautiful storefront. To demonstrate, I added a "Newsletter Signup" to my Bloom. On the surface, this looks simple, but even a feature like this has a lot of moving parts. Here's what Bloom did: • Bloom has access to your store, and can retrieve and create data on the fly. Bloom created a new customer group, "Newsletter Signups", so I can keep track of subscribers for future marketing emails. • Bloom is an expert in Medusa's framework for customization and knows about core modules and workflows. Bloom created an API route for customers to sign up from the storefront. The API route adds the customer to the customer group, creates a 10% promotion using the existing create-promotions workflow, and sends out an email with Medusa's Notification Module. • Bloom can use third-party libraries. I was aiming for a pretty and easy-to-build email for my subscribers. Bloom installed react-email and built a neat email template for me. • Bloom excels at building beautiful UI in any framework that uses React. It added a popup with the color theme of my site and a button that uses the newly created API route for signups. All of this with a single prompt in under 2 minutes.
