The biggest challenge people have with datetime programming is differentiating the idea of a moment in time from a (possibly zone-dependent) representation of a time. It comes up enough that it just must be hard.

My best guess is that future Martians will use Earth time and float their schedules. This is similar to the challenge that supporters universal time (like me) face: software still has to capture local norms *somewhere*

A pet peeve of mine is when people use PST when they mean PDT. My annoyance isn't that they got the offset name wrong, it's that they could have avoided it by just omitting the S/D altogether. It's always whichever one is right! Motion to always use ET, CT, MT, and PT.

Is there some way to turn off "In case you missed" notifications? It seems like it's a Twitter feature for reengaging occasional users, and it is super annoying for intentionally occasional accounts like this.

Been working with Luxon on a proof of concept and now a full-blown prototype, pretty stoked so far. Loving the fact that it's immutable. Great docs too, even though they could be a bit more user-friendly.
