@leahayes this might not be necessarily a good idea, as the page would flash unstyled code while parsing catches up in background.
@smikloso 8.1 (with Swift) is live. Though if we really did it "asap" Swift would miss some important contributions.
Are there any Swift fans? We're looking for a *short and neat* language snippet to display on highlightjs.org/ (use gist to submit!)

After longer-than-anticipated infrastructure update highlight.js 8.1 is live on the site highlightjs.org/ and npm (wait for CDNs).

Got really easy syntax highlighting on my upcoming blog site with @highlightjs. Longest part was just choosing which CSS file I liked best.

Coming in 8.0: our default styles now use a unique prefix for class names, so we won't mess with .comment and .title in your styles.
