This weekend six Ember.js RFCs have entered Final Comment Period. Let's take a look! ☕ These proposals improve the cohesiveness of Octane. Together they make adoption of angle components & native classes easier, and they remove inconsistent gotchas from Octane's learning curve.

Entering FCP: Classic Class Owner Tunnel github.com/emberjs/rfcs/pull… This proposal reduces the confusion between `constructor` and `init` in Ember. It closes a functionality gap (access to injections in `constructor`) and documents a migration path for existing `init` use.

Entering FCP: Decorator Support RFC github.com/emberjs/rfcs/pull… Ember is adopting decorator syntax, widely used in other JS ecosystems, despite bumps in the standards process. This RFC commits Ember to using decorators and discusses how to isolate users from possible churn.

The annual Ember Community Survey influences all our upcoming plans and projects: if you use Ember at all, please take the time to submit it so we can make as many people happy as possible :) It’ll take ~15m and I know that’s a big ask: so thank you. bit.ly/2TeDesz

I've been writing ember.js for like 5 years. Yesterday I used angle-bracket components for the first time. It has been so easy and clear to keep up with the changes and evolution of this incredible framework. #emberjs

I'm incredibly excited about everything that's going on in frontend technology right now, but that's not all. For me, being part of the #EmberJS community has been a personal journey as much as a professional one, and I can't wait to see what comes in 2019 and beyond! 6/6

Please participate in this year's Ember Community Survey: emberjs.com/blog/2019/02/19/… and circulate it amongst colleagues and co-workers. I'm looking forward to seeing the results (again!) at EmberConf 2019 😄 👋

This is pretty much why everyone should find #EmberJS very fascinating.
To me this is what makes Octane so interesting. It's not just features. In fact, it's barely about features. Instead @emberjs is focused on things like documentation, code mods, and programming model coherence. I've never seen anything like it and I'm so excited.
