90% of the time I get the urge to create a policy (at work, in open source, etc.), the motivation is not "address a systemically recurring issue", but rather, "avoid having a hard conversation with exactly one human." I think of this every time I see a policy. It explains a lot.

@composeio What the FUCK is up with 2 days notice for TCP portal downtime? It will be impossible for some teams to audit whether all systems will properly fail over or not. And implementing failover in front of a production db in 2 days notice is incredibly risky.

Thank you @composeio for postponing this maintenance. I understand occasional maintenance is a necessity, but you need to adequately communicate about it in advance, so people have time to make the proper adjustments.
