The company I work for is a manufacturer, we heavily rely on mobile apps interfacing with hardware such as zebra scanners, for many areas of business. Such as shipping/receiving, inventory mgmt., and production. We have used capacitor to build all of these apps in house, custom.

Great success! Created a tutorial on writing your own @capacitorjs plugin - actually kinda helpful since it retrieves natives contacts and is like 100x faster than the Cordova plugin for getting contacts. Really enjoyed the development flow in the native environments 😍

Newsflash: you can use Capacitor without using Ionic Framework.
Capacitor works great with @MaterialUI or @quasarframework or @getbootstrap or @tailwindcss
Or even your homegrown UI.
Of course, @Ionicframework is optimized for it, but it's just an option.
Have at it!

Here is my hope for how easy the next @capacitorjs electron plat. will be to run any webapp.
This is a default tabs @Ionicframework react app right after 'npx cap add electron', no other config done or needed and it runs as expected. (more config/options available)
