I’ve finished writing a comprehensive RFC on the @blitz_js architecture! 🤗 Very soon we’ll post this and RFCs on file structure, routing conventions, and the CLI! I can’t wait to get public feedback on these and then get started on building everything!!! 🚀 Stay tuned!

We’re now experimenting on @blitz_js for having a hooks based interface for all your frontend data. Might be similar to react-query, but with way less boilerplate since Blitz intimately knows all your app code. All without having to define your own fetch call/GQL query.

The @blitz_js team is making exciting progress on architecture design! (Way better & different than initial demo!) Goal is for developers to focus 100% on.. 1. Data model & state 2. Views 3. Computation ..with zero thought of anything else like APIs, GraphQL, fetching, etc

@blitz_js is going to blow your mind with how easy it’ll be. You won’t have to know anything at all about GraphQL or REST APIs. Like for real. You can focus 100% on your data model, your views, and your app logic with ZERO concern about anything else. For web AND mobile.

We're deep in architectural discussions and experimentation for @blitz_js! MVC is the obvious, easy choice for a fullstack framework, but we think we can have an architecture that's radically simpler and more composable. Screenshot from very smart @rudiyardley

Hmm 🤔 what if a @blitz_js app gave you an out-of-the-box GraphQL API with zero effort on your part? You still build your UI and app logic without building an API or doing client data fetching, but you also automatically get a GQL API for other uses.

Since folks asked here's the diff between @blitz_js & @redwoodjs Redwood is tooling & conventions for traditional SPAs Blitz is not a traditional SPA. The end UX of a Blitz app is the same or better than an SPA, but the DX is like a traditional server-rendered MVC app Thread👇

People were poking fun at how I launched Blitz before actually building it (not exactly true — I had built a prototype, although not much of one). But let me tell you what, Blitz is going to be 10,000 times better than if I slaved away by myself for year and then launched it!
