When I first began learning to code, I saw `public static void main` in Java and was super confused. I was also reading a book that spent a page explaining each keyword. JavaScript was a relief coming from that verbosity.

I simply so utter done with this myth that only people who act male, act white, act nerdy, dress badly, eat junk food, have poor social skills are qualified to be developers. That there's a special insiders club which most people can't join. I'm utterly sick of that idea.

I keep wanting to watch the Apple keynote from the beginning (I missed first hour yesterday). But I can't get past the opening video. With the long "joke" about how developers are not regular people. They are a special kind of nerd. Only certain human qualify as "special" enough.

My father, an attorney, told me once that school teachers and engineers make the worst clients. They won’t listen to advice because they already know everything. They will frequently argue that the attorney’s understanding of the law must be wrong because “it doesn’t make sense”.
