Hey @github could you please make it so we could set up these differently for different branch targets?
When working on a new major of a project, it's useful to i.e:
- have the `main` branch be "Allow squash" only, &
- the `next-major`-branch to "Allow merge" only

ALT "tRPC has a really bad API. With JavaScript, you can have a single class and generate the service just by introspecting the instance of the class. That's why I like JSON-RPC because you can front-end and backend. And the code looks like a normal object on both ends, without any extra boilerplate (only the front end needs to have async methods)."

This was v fun!
I reverted everything chris had done & then I rewrote pretty much exactly the same code before we fixed the actual issue. Debugging TS is hard & grokking half-working code is even harder
