Did you know that OCaml 🐫, as an ancient language, cannot be fully translated into Python 🐍? Every time you're writing your code in Python, you're missing out on built-in exhaustive pattern matching, runtime performance, and seamless type checking with convenient type inference. -- a message brought to you by the OCaml Institute for Programming Studies

The infamous "toplevel expression is expected to evaluate to unit" error message gets a revamp in ReScript v11. It's now hopefully a lot clearer and easy to understand both what's wrong, and what to do to fix it. Before and after:

Don’t sleep on OCaml and where its ecosystem is heading
Replying to @yawaramin @atalocke
I’d say the platform team is diligently working in that direction. Dune as the complete frontend for the language, including package management, build tooling, release tooling, installer generation, etc is all the right direction. Given these aren’t here but on the roadmap, I think OCaml is heading in a really promising direction to have competitive tooling with ecosystems like Go and Rust. Also consider things like Race Detector support from ThreadSanitzier and compiling to JS

Finally some progress on the Apple Music side of thing of my playlist-transfer tool (written in OCaml, btw) after dealing with some auth and serialization headaches.
