What could happen when paramilitary partisans with a century of irregular warfare experience, cashed equipment that never got turned in, younger cousins with drone & 3-D printing experience, and a common cause against a new foe? Everything will be fine.

Occupiers Have Lost the Ability to Use the Port of Mariupol As a result of a joint operation conducted by the First Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine Azov, the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts, the Special Operations Center «A», and the Unmanned Systems Forces, critical infrastructure facilities of the Mariupol Commercial Port were destroyed. Electrical substations, radar equipment, repair infrastructure, the control tower, and fuel and lubricant storage tanks were hit, as well as the sanctioned dry cargo vessel Lady Augusta, which is part of Russia's shadow fleet. Through the coordinated efforts of all units involved, the enemy has suffered another painful blow. The Mariupol Sea Commercial Port has been left without power, and Russian military logistics have been significantly disrupted. Azov continues to monitor logistics capabilities and enforce sanctions against Russians in the Sea of Azov region. Glory to Ukraine!

"I can't have children until I have more money" is precisely one of the cultural beliefs at the root of the fertility crisis, and one that gets stronger the more we entertain it. Part of the solution is to acknowledge, wide and far, that our ancestors had more children with far less, instead of lying to ourselves about the opposite.

It’s rather that non-Americans didn’t realize that assigning the World Cup to the US would mean that standard US immigration laws would apply. As if the deal didn’t just include visa and travel facilitation, but a complete subversion of democratically-produced local laws.
It’s like the Americans didn’t realise when they agreed to host the World Cup that it would mean having to let a fair number of foreigners into their country to play in and watch the matches, as that’s sort of part of the deal.

.@mbachelet Madam Bachelet, you're going to get vetoed not because you “believe in human rights” but because we exposed that under your watch, the UN rights office shielded Beijing as they crushed the Uyghurs, Putin as he poisoned dissidents, and the Ayatollah as he killed women.
“I shouldn't say this, but I'm going to say it because I truly believe it. If somebody vetoes me because I believe in democracy, because I believe in multilateralism, because I believe in women's rights, because I believe in human rights, I will be honored.” — Michelle Bachelet

Every beheading on Western soil is a provocative act of raw subjugation and thus, a declaration of war. To sever a head is a kind of psychological conquest, a deliberate humiliation designed to break the spirit of the host population, broadcast supremacy, and signal that the old rules no longer apply. The left-leaning politicians and journalists say “don’t be divisive.” But what’s divisive is the blade that divided a head from a body, turning a human being into a trophy, a warning, and a desecrated symbol of a defeated civilization. This is siege warfare by other means. “We are here. We own this ground now. Submit or bleed.” Beheadings declare total enmity and total dominance. They reject you and your way of life, your decency and your proud history, and replace them with medieval spectacle and religious terror. After Lee Rigby (and Samuel Paty), the hammer should have fallen in the form of mass deportations, borders enforced, and zero tolerance for crime and third world behaviors. Instead, Tories and Labour chose surrender. They opened the gates even wider, gaslit their own people, and let the siege deepen. Enough.

The Netherlands also has its Henry Nowak cases. In July 2020, 14-year-old Tamar from Marken was hit by a car on a dark dike road and left to die. Her body was later found in the berm. What happened next is deeply disturbing. The police initially told her mother that the driver was German. Days later the truth came out: it was four Iraqis in the car. The mother was told they withheld the real background because they didn’t want to create a "Wilders-effect" — they didn’t want to give Geert Wilders political ammunition. Even worse: evidence strongly suggests Tamar’s body was moved after the accident. The driver didn’t just flee, they dragged her off the road and left her there like an animal. The driver received only a €1,500 fine for looking at his phone while driving. He then disappeared completely. The fine was returned “undeliverable” and for years he was untraceable. Only after years of fighting by the family (including going to court to force prosecution), a breakthrough came in March 2026: the now 33-year old Jamal is finally being prosecuted for causing the fatal accident and leaving the scene. Just like Henry Nowak in Southampton — an innocent young person dies, authorities seem more focused on protecting a narrative and avoiding “political incorrectness” than on delivering swift justice. A 14-year-old girl dies on a Dutch dike. The system lies about the identity of the driver, gives him a slap on the wrist, loses him for years, and only after massive pressure does real prosecution begin. This is not just a traffic accident. This is a story about truth, accountability, and what happens when institutions put ideology before grieving families. Her name was Tamar. She was 14. She deserved better. ♡

This is the Indian doctor who implanted a heart valve upside down in a child, and his education was completed in India. In India, a person only needs to earn 40% to pass, which is basically an ‘F’ in the U.S. Medical Degree: M.B.B.S., 1999, Madras Medical College, Chennai, India. Internship: General Surgery, Government General Hospital, Chennai, India (2001).
Horrifying medical malpractice by Indian doctor named Ashok Muralidaran at OHSU. A 13-year-old Oregon girl’s heart valve was implanted upside down during surgery by Dr. Ashok . Her heart wouldn’t restart. For 18 days she was on life support while doctors told her devastated parents she was dying, discussed end-of-life care, and even organ donation. Seattle Children’s fixed the catastrophic error in one procedure. Her heart started working immediately. She’s now making a “miraculous recovery.” This level of negligence is unforgivable. Praying for full healing for this brave girl. oregonlive.com/health/2026/0…

Because America has made the wise decision to compensate blood donors, it has ended up supplying some 70% of the world's blood plasma. This is one of America's top exports, and each year, America saves hundreds of thousands of lives because it does this.
Up soon on Newstalk ZB talking compensation for plasma donation. NZ's ban on paid donation just means we import product derived from US paid donors, while underusing immunoglobulin. It doesn't make sense.

Neat! The results of the Alcohol Intake and Health Study were published! TL;DR: There's no evidence of a protective effect of alcohol at any level of consumption. Accordingly, the guidelines should not say stuff like 'Men can have 2x what women do'—they should be universally 0.
A government-commissioned study had been meant to inform new dietary guidelines, and found risks associated with even light drinking. trib.al/oAkzC6R

🚨THE BASHI BREAKOUT: 🇨🇳#China has, for the first time, pushed a paramilitary sovereignty assertion past its own "10-dash line" & beyond the First Island Chain to challenge a maritime negotiation it isn't party to. On May 28, 🇯🇵#Japan & the 🇵🇭#Philippines announced they would delimit their overlapping exclusive economic zones as prescribed by #UNCLOS. Beijing's answer was to send a flotilla through the Bashi Channel & into the open Pacific east of 🇹🇼#Taiwan, into waters that even its own most expansive maps don't (yet) claim. The key is in which ships Beijing sent: China uses its navy to assert capability--what it can do by force. It uses its coast guard & other government ships as a paramilitary force to assert sovereignty--what it claims. Not one ship in this flotilla was a warship, because this was a sovereignty claim. That's what's really new here. For over a decade China used these same gray-zone tactics to assert sovereignty inside its South China Sea "nine-dash line". This week's action pushed somewhere new--going past even the 10th "dash" Beijing added to its 2023 map. Beyond the First Island Chain. This assertion was aimed not at Taiwan alone, but at two 🇺🇸US treaty allies. @China_MFA branded the Japan-Philippine talks "completely illegal and void", while a June 1 @globaltimesnews editorial called the idea "an extraordinary and almost unprecedented absurdity… akin to two neighbors sitting in your living room and discussing how to divide your backyard." Note how China's "backyard" continues to expand. So, in fact, does its "living room". What SeaLight's tracking shows: 🔹 From 1-5 June, CCG cutters Daishan (2502) & Baita (2304) ran the first clockwise patrol over 200nm east of Taiwan's easternmost island--well past the 10th "dash" on Beijing's 2023 map. 🔹 Late on June 7th, a second wave of 3 provincial Maritime Safety Administration cutters & a rescue tug pushed into the Bashi Channel. The formation entered Taiwan's restricted waters ~30nm off the southern tip, drew a 7-ship Taiwan Coast Guard standoff, then also pushed east. Beijing's state media left no doubt about what it all meant, first with an official @XHNews/@globaltimesnews announcement, then a June 7 Global Times viewpoint column naming the operation "a sovereignty declaration with both legal significance and political signaling." Taiwan's NSC chief @josephwutw named it "expansionism in disguise," Defense Minister Koo said it was "cognitive warfare." Both are quite correct. But the deeper target is Tokyo, Manila & Washington DC, since if Beijing can run a paramilitary sovereignty assertion directly against two US allies' lawful EEZ talks in waters far beyond even its own claim lines, the real message is that China's maritime claims are not just expansive and ambiguous, they are unbounded. 📊 Tracking by @StarboardIntel
Taiwan has condemned Chinese Coast Guard patrols east of the island as a “provocative act” and accused Beijing of escalating pressure through maritime operations and “cognitive warfare.” The patrols came after China objected to planned maritime boundary talks between Japan and the Philippines. Taiwan said its Coast Guard expelled four Chinese vessels from restricted waters and will continue coordinating closely with the military as tensions in the region remain high. #FirstpostNews
