It's fourth day of #MuseumWeek and today’s theme is #professionsMW. Most dangerous profession on river Daugava had raftsmen. There were times when raftsmen skills were widely used but now those skills need to be saved by giving them to next generation who won’t use them daily.
Today is the third day of #MuseumWeek and today’s theme is #heritageMW. Our museum have lots of baskets and other containers used for measuring and storaging grain and other goods as well as different household objects saved in fishermen and farmers households in generatios.
It's a second day of #MuseumWeek and theme is #cityMW. We offer You a photos of buildings of health care institutions. In 1975 historic ambulance was renamed as “Salaspils countryside polyclinic”, in 1976 it got new building, where Salaspils health centre is located today.
In an honor of women, for the first day of #MuseumWeek we offer You a photos from our archives of Silvija Pilvere – who was a local teacher for a long time and have studied a history of local families. She turned 85 on april this year. Happy birthday! #WomenMW
