Last day’s of #MuseumWeek theme is #differenceMW. People have been divided and united by river Daugava. Today we offer you photos from our collection showing festival “Days of Daugava” in 1997, where folklore groups from Krāslava, Druja and Piedruja met.

Today is the sixth day of #MuseumWeek and today’s theme is #natureMW. River Daugava Museum is located in environment, which is full of various riches of nature. Our visitor can enjoy living nature and rocks as well throughout the whole year.

Today is the fifth day of #MuseumWeek and today’s theme is #kidsMW. There are photos showing kids and their entertainment and responsibility in collection of Daugava Museum. Museum is teaching today’s kids today forgotten or very rarely used skills.

It's fourth day of #MuseumWeek and today’s theme is #professionsMW. Most dangerous profession on river Daugava had raftsmen. There were times when raftsmen skills were widely used but now those skills need to be saved by giving them to next generation who won’t use them daily.

Today is the third day of #MuseumWeek and today’s theme is #heritageMW. Our museum have lots of baskets and other containers used for measuring and storaging grain and other goods as well as different household objects saved in fishermen and farmers households in generatios.

It's a second day of #MuseumWeek and theme is #cityMW. We offer You a photos of buildings of health care institutions. In 1975 historic ambulance was renamed as “Salaspils countryside polyclinic”, in 1976 it got new building, where Salaspils health centre is located today.
